Mitsubishi ESKA SH1001 / SH2001 Simplex POF Cable, 0.25 mm & 0.5 mm Core, PE Jacket

Mitsubishi ESKA SH1001 (0.25mm) and SH2001 (0.5mm) simplex black PE PMMA POF data cables, 1.0mm OD, 1000m spool, -55 to +70C.

Mitsubishi ESKA SH1001 (0.25 mm) and SH2001 (0.5 mm) are simplex black PE-jacketed PMMA POF data cables, the standard consumer-grade ESKA links for sensing and short-distance data.

Product Overview

The SH series is Mitsubishi’s standard-level ESKA plastic optical fibre cable. SH1001 carries a 0.25 mm fibre in a 1.0 mm OD black PE jacket, while SH2001 carries a 0.5 mm fibre in the same 1.0 mm OD jacket. Both are step-index PMMA fibres with a fluorinated cladding, supplied on 1000 m spools. They are part of our POF fibre optical cable range.

Key Features

  • Two fibre sizes: SH1001 = 0.25 mm, SH2001 = 0.5 mm, both in 1.0 mm OD PE jacket.
  • Step-index PMMA core / fluorinated cladding.
  • Black PE jacket for indoor routing and protection.
  • 1000 m spool, rated -55 to +70 °C.

FAQ

What is the difference between SH1001 and SH2001?

The fibre core: 0.25 mm (SH1001, higher loss 700 dB/km) versus 0.5 mm (SH2001, lower loss 210 dB/km). Both use the same 1.0 mm OD black PE jacket.

What does SH2001-1.25 mean?

The folder lists an SH2001-1.25 variant; the cropped catalog shows SH2001 at 1.0 mm OD. Confirm the exact jacket/order code against your device before ordering.

Are these H-PCF glass fibres?

No — they are PMMA plastic optical fibre (ESKA SH grade), not silica H-PCF.
