Asahi Kasei TB-1000 is a 1.0 mm step-index PMMA bare end-glow fiber from the Asahi Kasei bare-fiber range, available in 1,500 m and 5,250 m winding options. The 1.0 mm grade is a popular all-round decorative POF — bright enough for feature points yet flexible enough for curtains and star ceilings.

This product is part of our POF fiber optical cable range of step-index PMMA plastic optical fibers and jacketed cables. The values below are taken from the supplier grade table, structure sheet and listing; LED-illuminator parameters (color temperature, input voltage, IP rating) are deliberately excluded because they belong to the light source, not the fiber.

Which winding length do I choose?
The grade table lists 1,500 m and 5,250 m reels; choose by your project size and handling.
How does 1.0mm compare with 0.75mm?
1.0 mm passes more light but needs a larger 20 mm bend radius (vs 10 mm for 0.75 mm).
Is the 10mm bend radius from the listing correct?
No. The Asahi grade table lists 20 mm for TB-1000; we use the table value.
