Mitsubishi ESKA SK-30 is a 0.75 mm step-index PMMA plastic optical fibre supplied on a 2700 m spool, used as a white/clear end-glow fibre for LED star ceilings, light curtains and feature lighting. The fibre itself carries light only — no voltage, heat or electricity reaches the glowing star points.

Product Overview

SK-30 belongs to the Mitsubishi ESKA PMMA fibre family: a transparent PMMA core surrounded by a lower-index fluorinated polymer cladding that traps light by total internal reflection. At 0.75 mm outer diameter with a 0.735 mm core, it is a fine, flexible end-glow fibre suited to dense star-ceiling installations where many points are needed. FAQ

Is the 6000 K colour temperature or AC165-265 V part of the fibre?

No. Those describe the LED illuminator, not the PMMA fibre. The fibre’s own relevant values are diameter, NA, attenuation and bend radius.

Can the fibre be cut to a custom length?

Yes — we supply by the 2700 m spool and can cut to order. Contact us with the total length you need.

What is the minimum bend radius?

About 10 times the fibre diameter (roughly 7.5 mm for 0.75 mm fibre); avoid tighter permanent bends at the illuminated end.
