Toray PGU-CD / PGS-CD 1001-22-E PE-Jacketed POF Cable, 1.0 mm Core / 2.2 mm OD

Toray PGU-CD and PGS-CD 1001-22-E black PE jacketed PMMA POF cables, 1.0mm core / 2.2mm OD, <=0.15/0.18 dB/m, for sensors.

The Toray PGU-CD1001-22-E and PGS-CD1001-22-E are black PE-jacketed PMMA POF cables with a 1.0 mm fibre in a 2.2 mm OD jacket, in U-grade and S-grade versions.

Product Overview

These PG-series cables jacket a single 1.0 mm PMMA step-index fibre in black polyethylene. The U-grade PGU-CD1001-22-E has <=0.15 dB/m attenuation (500 m spool) and the S-grade PGS-CD1001-22-E <=0.18 dB/m (1000 m spool), with a 9 mm allowable bend radius. They are part of our POF fibre optical cable range.

Key Features

  • 1.0 mm fibre in a 2.2 mm black PE jacket.
  • U-grade (<=0.15 dB/m) and S-grade (<=0.18 dB/m) options.
  • 9 mm bend radius for tight routing.
  • 500 m (U) / 1000 m (S) spools.

FAQ

What is the difference between U and S grade?

U grade (PGU-CD) has lower attenuation than S grade (PGS-CD) for the same fibre diameter; S grade is a lower-cost variant with higher loss. Match the grade to your optical budget.

What is the jacket made of?

Black polyethylene (PE), per the Toray PG-series cable specification table.

What is the minimum bend radius?

9 mm for the small/slim cables, 20 mm for the larger 1.5/2.0 mm core cables, per the Toray table.
