Coupling performance is governed by dimensional fit, fiber preparation, ferrule alignment, end-face polish, retention and strain relief. Contamination, poor polishing or an unmatched mating receptacle can raise insertion loss or prevent a repeatable connection.

Confirm fiber diameter, polishing/cleaving method, crimp or adhesive process, mating receptacle and required tools. We qualify the connector as part of the finished cable rather than an isolated housing. All assemblies are terminated, end-face inspected and individually tested before dispatch. Q: Ceramic or metal ferrule – which should I choose?
A: Ceramic ferrules offer excellent dimensional stability for glass fibers; metal ferrules are often preferred for larger-core PCF/HPCF and industrial fibers. Tell us your fiber and we will recommend.
Q: Is the connector sold alone or as a kit?
A: It is supplied as a component kit containing the body, ferrule, boot and cap, ready for termination.
