Black-skin end-glow light-guide fiber is a thick bundle of PMMA end-glow fibers wrapped in an opaque black PVC/PE skin. The black skin blocks all side glow so light escapes only at the polished end — exactly what swimming pools, fountains and decorative water features need. Product Overview
In a pool or fountain, bare fiber would glow along its whole length and look like a string of beads. The black skin solves this: the fiber body stays dark under water while the cut end produces a clean point of colored light fed by an LED illuminator on dry land. Because it carries only light, the submerged end is intrinsically safe.
The large-bundle family (rows H08/H09/H10) lists 8.0/10.0/12.0 mm sizes, 200 dB/km loss, -50 to +70 °C and 100 m per reel. The performance sheet adds IEC 60793-1-40 attenuation ≤450 dB/km @650 nm, ≤500 dB/km after humidity conditioning, and ≥56 N tensile (IEC 60068-1).

FAQ
Why does this fiber have a black jacket while normal star fiber is clear? The black jacket is intentional. In water you want only the end to glow; a clear fiber would glow along its length. The black skin blocks side glow and keeps the submerged run invisible.
