Asahi Kasei DC series general-purpose PMMA POF cables: DC-265-10 (0.265mm), DC-500 (0.5mm), DC-500W-10 dual, DC-1000 (1.0mm/2.2mm), NA 0.50, -55 to +70 C.
The Asahi Kasei DC series is a range of general-purpose jacketed PMMA POF cables covering 0.265 mm (DC-265-10), 0.5 mm (DC-500, dual DC-500W-10) and 1.0 mm (DC-1000) fibers. They are the standard Asahi Kasei POF for industrial control and sensor links.
Product Overview
DC series cables use a PE jacket around a step-index PMMA core. The structure sheet lists core RI 1.49, cladding RI 1.4, NA 0.50, core diameter 920–1040 µm (typical 980) and cladding 940–1060 µm.
DC-265-10 and DC-500 are rated −55 to +70 °C; DC-1000 is rated −40 to +70 °C. Standard drum lengths are 500–1000 m depending on grade.

FAQ
Which DC grade should I choose? DC-1000 (1.0mm fiber, 2.2mm jacket) is the most common for industrial POF links. Choose DC-500 where space is tight, and DC-265-10 for very fine 0.265mm light-point or sensing use. We can recommend a grade from your transceiver and distance.
