Asahi Kasei DB-175 is a 0.175 mm ultra-fine step-index PMMA bare end-glow fiber, the thinnest grade in the Asahi Kasei bare-fiber range, wound on a 10,000 m spool. Its fine diameter and small bending radius make it suited to flexible luminous textiles, costumes and clothing where many tiny light points are sewn or woven into fabric.

FAQ
How is DB-175 different from DB-750?
DB-175 is 0.175 mm ultra-fine (0.50 dB/m, 8 mm bend, 10,000 m roll) for textile weaving; DB-750 is 0.75 mm (0.16 dB/m, 10 mm bend, 3,000 m) for general decoration.
Can it be sewn into fabric?
The 0.175 mm fine fiber is used in luminous textile and costume builds; confirm your sewing/weaving process and bend radius before ordering.
Is it jacketed?
This listing is bare PMMA fiber. A black flame-retardant PE jacket is available on request for side-light suppression.
