The Asahi Kasei MBI series plastic optical fibers are sensor and signal-grade PMMA POF cables: MBI-450S, MBI-500S, MBI-750, MBI-1000 and MBI-2000. They are Asahi Kasei’s high light-guiding PMMA fibers used for factory-automation sensors, audio systems, car controls, LANs and low-cost optical transmission.
Product Overview
Asahi Kasei PMMA plastic optical fiber combines polymer and spinning technology to deliver high light-guiding performance, especially in the visible wavelength range, with large core diameter and wide acceptance angle that make it easy to couple to low-cost LED / PD light sources. The cables in this family are supplied with a polyethylene (PE) outer jacket on 500 m rolls.
