Toray PGU-CD / PGS-CD 501-10-E POF Cable, 0.5 mm Core / 1.0 mm OD

Toray PGU-CD and PGS-CD 501-10-E black PE jacketed PMMA POF cables, 0.5mm core / 1.0mm OD, <=0.18/0.22 dB/m, bend 9mm.

The Toray PGU-CD501-10-E and PGS-CD501-10-E are slim black PE-jacketed POF cables with a 0.5 mm fibre in a 1.0 mm OD jacket, in U-grade and S-grade versions.

Product Overview

This is the slim 0.5 mm-fibre member of the PG-series cable family. The U-grade PGU-CD501-10-E is <=0.18 dB/m and the S-grade PGS-CD501-10-E <=0.22 dB/m, both on 500 m spools with a 9 mm bend radius. They are part of our POF fibre optical cable range.

Key Features

  • 0.5 mm fibre in a 1.0 mm black PE jacket.
  • U-grade <=0.18 / S-grade <=0.22 dB/m.
  • 9 mm bend radius, 500 m spool.
  • Slim, flexible jacket for tight sensor runs.

FAQ

What is the difference between U and S grade?

U grade (PGU-CD) has lower attenuation than S grade (PGS-CD) for the same fibre diameter; S grade is a lower-cost variant with higher loss. Match the grade to your optical budget.

What is the jacket made of?

Black polyethylene (PE), per the Toray PG-series cable specification table.

What is the minimum bend radius?

9 mm for the small/slim cables, 20 mm for the larger 1.5/2.0 mm core cables, per the Toray table.
