Product Overview
Most ST connectors are sized for 1.0 mm POF or glass. This version has a larger 1.5 mm bore so it can terminate the thick 1.5 mm plastic fiber used in illumination and sensor applications.

FAQ
Why do I need a 1.5 mm aperture ST? A standard 1.0 mm ST bore cannot center a 1.5 mm thick POF; using it would give high loss and poor coupling. The 1.5 mm aperture ST ferrule is sized to the 1500 um fiber.
