SK is Mitsubishi Eska’s lighting-grade (end-glow) PMMA fiber family. Per the lighting-fiber table, SK-60 is 1.50 mm outer fiber with a 1.470 mm core, transmission loss 150 dB/km, operating temperature -55 to +70 °C, and 700 m per spool (1.540 kg net fiber weight). FAQ
Is SK-60 a data cable?
No. SK is the lighting/end-glow grade used to carry light from an LED illuminator to a remote end point for decoration; it is not a data-communication cable. For data use see the SH/GH/MH grades.
What about the 6000K color temperature and AC165-265V in the listing?
Those are LED illuminator/engine parameters, not properties of the passive SK-60 fiber. The fiber itself is unpowered PMMA; the color temperature and drive voltage belong to the paired illuminator.
What diameters are available in the SK family?
The lighting table lists SK-10 (0.25 mm), SK-20 (0.50 mm), SK-30 (0.75 mm), SK-40 (1.00 mm), SK-60 (1.50 mm) and SK-80 (2.00 mm).
