Mitsubishi ESKA BH2001 / BH4001 Heat-Resistant POF Cable
The ESKA BH2001 and BH4001 are Mitsubishi’s heat-resistant jacketed PMMA POF cables, rated to −55…+105 °C with a cross-linked PE jacket. BH2001 uses a 0.5 mm fiber (0.95 mm OD) and BH4001 a 1.0 mm fiber (2.18 mm OD).
Product Overview
Standard PMMA POF jackets begin to soften at lower temperatures; the BH series uses a cross-linked polyethylene jacket specifically so the cable can survive the elevated ambient temperatures found near motors, lighting, industrial drives and automotive engine compartments.
The catalogue lists BH2001 at 250 dB/km attenuation with an 18 N tensile rating on 1000 m drums, and BH4001 at 200 dB/km with a 70 N rating on 500 m drums. Both share the −55 to +105 °C operating range.
Key Features
- Cross-linked PE jacket rated to +105 °C.
- 0.5 mm (BH2001, 0.95 mm OD) or 1.0 mm (BH4001, 2.18 mm OD) PMMA core.
- 250 / 200 dB/km attenuation; 18 N / 70 N tensile.
- 1000 m (BH2001) / 500 m (BH4001) drums.

Applications
- Industrial drive and sensor links near heat sources.
- Automotive and under-hood / engine-area signal links.
- High-temperature factory automation and oven-adjacent runs.
- Lighting and stage where standard jacket POF would soften.

FAQ
Why use cross-linked PE instead of PVC jacket? Cross-linked PE keeps its strength at temperatures up to about 105 C, where a PVC jacket would soften. If your cable runs near motors, ovens or engine heat, the BH series is the right choice over a standard PVC-jacketed POF.
Why Choose Us
TOCP Fibercable supplies named Mitsubishi ESKA grades (BH/GH/LH) alongside generic jacketed PMMA POF. See the POF cable category, the home page, or the FAQ.
