Asahi Kasei TCU-1000 (simplex) and TCU-1000W (duplex) PMMA POF with LSZH jacket, 1.0mm fiber / 2.2mm OD, NA 0.50, -55 to +80 C.
The TCU-1000 and TCU-1000W are Asahi Kasei’s LSZH (low-smoke, zero-halogen) jacketed PMMA POF cables, with a 1.0 mm fiber in a 2.2 mm jacket. TCU-1000 is simplex; TCU-1000W is duplex.
Product Overview
LSZH jackets emit little smoke and no halogen acid gas in a fire, which is why TCU is specified for public buildings, railway, tunnel and enclosed installations where PVC jacket fumes would be a hazard.
Optically TCU is the same step-index PMMA as the DC series: core RI 1.49, cladding RI 1.4, NA 0.50. The TCU temperature range is −55 to +80 °C on 500 m drums.
