Custom Hybrid Industrial Fiber Optic Cable Assembly
A custom hybrid industrial fiber optic cable assembly is a finished, mixed-connector optical harness built to connect dissimilar equipment ports in factory, laboratory and sensing systems. TOCP Fiber engineers each assembly around the exact connector pair, fiber grade and length your machine requires.
Product Overview
Our hybrid assemblies combine two or more industrial connector formats on one green-jacketed cable body, removing the need for field-adapted patch cords. As an experienced industrial fiber optic cable manufacturer, we terminate simplex, duplex and mixed end-fits to suit the host device rather than forcing a standard jumper to do a job it was not designed for.
Photographed variants show alternative shells, boots and color coding; these are selectable configurations confirmed on your approved drawing, not a fixed bill of materials.
Key Features
- Mixed industrial connector combinations for equipment-specific optical links
- Green-jacket construction with simplex, duplex and hybrid terminations available
- Fully passive optical path with electrical isolation and EMI immunity
- Length, jacket, labeling and protection routing configurable to the project
- Connector-focused design for fast installation and replacement
- Factory-terminated and 100% end-face inspected before dispatch

- Custom machine wiring and retrofits
- Equipment-specific optical links
Performance & Reliability
Optical performance depends on the selected fiber, termination quality, end-face cleanliness and correct seating in the mating port. Because the path is passive, it adds no conductive data connection and rejects electromagnetic pickup; the paired transmitter and receiver still define the complete link budget.
Customization & Ordering
Tell us the two end connectors, fiber count and type, finished length, jacket material and routing environment. We can pre-terminate, label and bundle the harness so it arrives ready to plug in. All assemblies are terminated, end-face inspected and individually tested before dispatch. Send your drawing, connector pair, fiber type and target volume, and our engineers will return a configuration, sample plan and lead time. Contact our sales team for OEM/ODM support.
FAQ
Q: Can you make a cable with different connectors on each end?
A: Yes. That is exactly what a hybrid assembly is: we terminate connector A on one end and connector B on the other so mismatched ports connect directly without adapters.
Q: What fiber types are available?
A: We work with glass multimode (GOF), plastic-clad silica (PCF) and hard-clad silica (HPCF) fibers depending on bandwidth, distance and the connected optics.
Q: How do I order a custom hybrid cable?
A: Send the connector pair, fiber type, length and any drawing to our sales team; we confirm a sample before volume production.
